Our Journey
Our Roots & Commitment
Born from the urgency of the climate crisis, Zero Plastic Liberia is the voice of a new generation of environmental stewards in West Africa, Liberia.
It Started with a Vision.
Zero Plastic Liberia (ZPL) is a registered, youth-led, non-governmental and non-profit environmental organization. Headquartered in Paynesville City, our reach extends through community chapters nationwide.
As an organization established in 2024, we bring fresh energy, innovative strategies, and a deep understanding of the intersectional nature of environmental justice. We believe that youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but the most vital change agents of today.
Our work is deeply rooted in the Liberian context, acknowledging both our rich biodiversity and the unique vulnerabilities our coastal and rural communities face in the wake of global warming.
